….Reda Amalou est un architecte français, formé et diplômé à l’University of East London en Grande-Bretagne, sous la direction d’Elias Zenghelis et Eleni Gigantes.
Après avoir travaillé durant plusieurs années comme architecte pour des agences londoniennes sur différents projets en Europe, il rejoint la France où il intègre l’agence Thurnhauer pendant quatre ans.
En 1997 il fonde l’agence AW² - Architecture Workshop à Paris. Stéphanie Ledoux, diplômée de l’Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture à Paris, le rejoint en 2000 et devient associée en 2003. Les deux associés mènent conjointement l’agence depuis et sont personnellement impliqués dans la conception architecturale de chaque projet.
Avec des projets dans 40 pays différents, l’agence s’est construit une expérience reconnue internationalement pour la conception de projets à forte valeur ajoutée. L’hôtellerie de luxe et les intérieurs hauts de gamme constituent aujourd’hui une part importante de son activité. Par ailleurs, l’agence développe tous types de programmes tels que lycées, bureaux, logements, commerces…
Le travail de l’agence a été maintes fois primé avec notamment un MIPIM Asia Best Green Development Award pour le Wink Hotel Saigon Centre, un MIPIM Best Hotel Award pour le Six Senses Condao, un Build Architecture Award pour Best International Architecture & Design Studio – Paris, ainsi que quatre nominations au Grand Prix AFEX de l’Architecture Française à L’Export avec le Six Senses Condao au Vietnam, le Lycée Français d’Amman en Jordanie, Àni Private Resort & Art Academy au Sri Lanka, et Kasiiya Papagayo éco-lodge au Costa Rica.
Chez AW² les deux associés ont toujours choisi de concevoir l’architecture dans sa globalité : de l’échelle de l’architecture à celle du mobilier. C’est dans cette continuité que Reda Amalou fonde sa propre maison de design de meubles et objets : Reda Amalou Design en 2013.
En 2006, il devient membre du bureau de l’AFEX (Architectes français à l’export) où il a exercé plusieurs fonctions dans le Conseil d’Administration; jusqu’à son élection en tant que Président de l’AFEX en 2022.
